Oh this girl’s beauty is just palpable.  Her eyes spoke to me, so I just had to click on her file and ‘get to know her.’  When I saw the pictures of her curved little body, I couldn’t believe it.  This sweet, gorgeous girl bends and curves in ways that bodies just are not supposed to.   But yet, she adapts.  She is probably too young to realize that she is physically different – a blessing for now.  But I wonder if she feels pain.  I wonder if it is difficult for her to breathe, or if she can get comfortable sleeping.  She is described as introverted and sweet, gentle and obedient, and she likes when her ayi sits near her so that she can touch her.

Gabby needs intervention.  She needs a team of specialists to provide the treatment necessary so she can flourish.  But most of all, she needs a family to be her number one cheerleader.  A family who will push her, and encourage her, and support her in all that she wants to do in life.  A family who will always say ‘you can,’ and never ‘you can’t.’

Gabby is 3 years old and is available for adoption through Madison Adoption Associates.  There is a $1,000 grant available for the family who adopts her.  Please email sarah@madisonadoption.org for more information, or fill out the Prospective Adoptive Parent form to be considered as her adoptive family.
